This movie is based on a contemporary science fiction comic-book-based, mainly published by Dark Horse Comics.

“Adrenalyn” (sometimes spelled “Adrenalynn”) is about a Russian female that grows up in post-Cold War Russia as an orphan turned into a half human-half cyborg programmed to bring the United States to its knees.

In a a recent interview, Christina Ricci told SCI FI Wire that her comic-book movie 'Adrenalynn' was backburnered out of concern that its terrorist-themed plot was inappropriate in light of the Sept. 11 attacks, but that the movie might be revived at a later date.

"It's just a matter of revisiting it, but I've been very busy and the other people involved have moved on," Ricci said.
