Fortunately, IFC and The Weinstein Company have jointly purchased the North American rights to the film produced by Reese Witherspoon and starring Christina Ricci and James McAvoy. Celebrity Dining: October 2006 - The California sunshine sparkled on the water as actress Christina Ricci sat at one of the Lucite tables surrounding the pool at Avalon Hotel in Beverly Hills and dined on the New American cuisine served by blue on blue restaurant, which was deemed among the "50 Best Hotel Restaurants" by Food & WIne.

BSM official site was released last Friday, with the teaser of BSM  shown before "Snakes on Plane" - now on theaters. People who saw the trailer said " the theatre went nuts when this trailer was shown".
They basically show snippets of Sam finding Ricci on the road all beat up-Ricci waking up on the couch with a red blanket covering her. She gets up and says "What am i doing here ? " and Sam says "I found you on the road". She says "I can't stay here, I have to go". She gets up, the blanket falls to floor and she discovers she has a chain around her waist!
Another part is Ricci running out the door, but Sam pulls the chain and she goes flying up in the air and goes crashing down. She starts to crawl and Sam yells "Get your ass back in here!". They also show Ricci lying on the floor with the chain wrapped around her waist wearing only her panties and that half shirt.
And other part shows her (very briefly) making love to some guy, her swigging down a bottle of beer, taking drugs and then dancing sexily on the dance floor. Some other random stuff but that was basically it.

"Black Snake Moan" has been bumped to February from its original release date of Sept. 15, in part because the imminent horror thriller "Snakes on a Plane" has such a tight squeeze on the pop culture zeitgeist that a second Sam Jackson snake film might get lost in the underbrush.

CHRISTINA RICCI was so determined to land a sexy role in "Black Snake Moan", she threatened to quit the movie business if she failed.
She had to convince "Hustle & Flow" director Craig Brewer that she was the perfect choice to play femme fatale RAE, who beds Timberlake at the beginning of the steamy film, and she's sure her desperation and determination shone through.
She says, "I had said to my therapist that if I didn't get the part, I would have to quit this business." And she admits her new role is so sexually charged she won't be bedding co-stars any time soon. She adds, "I think I've had enough sex for the next two years of my career with this movie."

Christina Ricci at the charity poolside party to combat AIDS

Funny woman Ellen DeGeneres turned serious with girlfriend Portia Di Rossi at the weekend (JUL 15, 2006) when they co-hosted a star-studded Hollywood African AIDS fundraiser - a charity event to help launch a self-sustaining FXB Village in Uganda. The event occurs at Chateau Marmont, Hollywood, California - USA.
Another celebrity couple, Heath Ledger and Michelle Williams, CHRISTINA RICCI and former ER star Noah Wyle were among the guests, who helped to raise $400,000 (£222,200) at the charity poolside party.
DeGeneres was thrilled with the cash raised and insists it will all go to aiding the health crisis in Uganda: "Every 15 seconds a child is orphaned by AIDS. These people are losing their homes, they have no medical supplies."

For many attendees, celebrities included, one of the biggest draws of CineVegas is the city itself.
"Festivals to me are work - doing publicity," says actress Christina Ricci, who will be honored with a Half-Life Award.
"So, when I go to Sundance and stuff, I generally don't go to parties or anything. But I'm one of those people who still loves Disneyland and, for me, Vegas is like Disneyland indoors, so I'm probably a little less jaded about going to a festival there than I would be about going to one somewhere else."
